Week 3 - Testing the Connections

So this week I went into my editing class with my hard drive and my project captured to it, but not the original tape. As I opened my project I found out that the sound did not work. I went and changed a few settings and tried different things but nothing seemed to work. I decided that I would just tell my teacher if I saw him on my way out that I didnt care if I was late cause I'd be sitting around for 3 hours doing literally nothing at all when I could just waste an hour tops on getting my tape and being able to edit.

At this point I am about to get up when I think, "I could just edit this without sound then on my own time go and edit it with sound. Sounds good." This thought quickly faded and I tried once more to get it to work and then seek help. Before I try messing with settings I hit the button that has been least helpful and has showed that the capture had failed me; the play button. This time to my surprise it played audio. I was relieved and did not care why it decided to work then just happy that it was working.

Next I pumped up the audio so it could be heard at a reasonable level without cranking the volume. About halfway through the project the end half of my audio was horrible. So bad that I thought I might have to go back to Vermont and reshoot it (or just scrap what I had and redo the project). After nesting a few audio tracks I realized that my headphone jack came unplugged slightly. Always check connections folks.

To end my project needs about another hour to be tweaked to my liking and John's Charlie Murphy shakes make me laugh and makes it hard to edit. John I miss you bro. I'll take whatever bet you want to make with me on the superbowl. Lets do it up!
